Daisy Ridley, Sosie Bacon, Simon Rex to star in horror 'Get Rid of It'

Daisy Ridley, Sosie Bacon, and Simon Rex are set to star in the upcoming horror film 'Get Rid of It,' directed by Ry Russo-Young, Deadline reported.

The film, written by Gemma Holdway, follows sisters Harper (Ridley) and Jessie (Bacon) on a cross-country road trip after Harper discovers she is pregnant following a one-night stand with a drifter named Miller (Rex), according to Hollywood Reporter.

As the story unfolds, the sisters fight for survival when they realize that the entity growing inside Harper may not be human, Variety detailed.

Production is scheduled to begin in early 2027, and the project is being pitched to buyers at the American Film Market by Upgrade, CAA Media Finance, and Range Select, Hollywood Reporter noted.

The film is produced by David Lancaster, known for his work on 'Whiplash,' 'Drive,' and 'Nightcrawler,' Variety added.

Director Ry Russo-Young described the project as having a compelling point of view and heart beneath the horror, aiming to bring it to life with a talented group of collaborators, according to Hollywood Reporter.
