The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a dense fog advisory for the tri-county area including Charleston, North Charleston, and Mount Pleasant through 10 a.m. Friday, WCBD reported.
Forecasters warned that a combination of dense fog and smoke from nearby prescribed burns may create hazardous driving conditions during the Halloween Eve morning commute.
Visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less, potentially impacting travel for local commuters in the Charleston area.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and allow extra time for travel during the advisory period.
