Man charged in death of Atlanta man after fight outside Nashville bar

A man from Atlanta died following a fight outside a Nashville bar on October 25, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

The incident began with a verbal altercation inside Big Shotz bar on 2nd Avenue North between the victim and the suspect. Both men and their friend groups were asked to leave the bar.

Outside the bar, the altercation escalated into a physical fight. The suspect reportedly put the victim in a headlock despite bystanders' attempts to intervene. The victim lost consciousness during the fight.

Emergency responders found the victim receiving CPR and transported him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died.

The MNPD’s TITANS Unit arrested the suspect on an outstanding criminal homicide warrant related to the case, according to wsmv.com.
